PD3270 FLUSAR Technicial Level for Structural Collapse

Course Description:  This course provides you with the skills necessary to conduct operations at technical rescue incidents safely and effectively based on hazard analysis, risk assessment, training level of personnel, and availability of internal and external resources.

Students will be exposed to the technician level response to structural collapse incident and the course will involve working with basic construction equipment.  You will learn to cut, breach and break concrete, lift and move heavy objects, and assist a crane operator with rigging and signaling.

At the successful completion of the technician level, the candidate will have an understanding of the functions and developments of NFPA 1670 for Structural Collapse Rescue.

Class is 80 hours long broken up into 2 separate weeks.  Each week is 4 10-hr days.
