PD3266 Structural Collapse - Operations Level

Course Description:  This course provides you with the necessary skills to conduct operations at technical rescue incidents safely and effectively based on hazard analysis, risk assessment, training level of personnel, and availability of internal and external resources.

Students will be exposed to the operations level response to structural collapse incident and the course will involve working with power saws and basic construction equipment.  You will learn to identify structural collapse incidents and how to construct basic shoring systems to deal with windows, doors, sloped floors and exterior wall supports, etc.

At the successful completion of the operations level, the candidate will have an understanding of the functions and developments of NFPA 1670 for Structural Collapse Rescue.
